If you have your Bible turn me to Luke chapter 22 Luke 22 last week we introduced to you about this night this Magnificent night this monumental night the greatest night in human history Is recorded in Luke chapter 22. It's also recorded in John 13 through John chapter 17 It's also recorded in Matthew in Mark's gospel as well And so it is the greatest night in the history of the world to understand exactly what took place on that night We told you that it was a night of Predetermination everything had been determined by the Lord God of Israel It says in John's it but 13 the Lord God knowing that it was time for him to depart and return To his father knowing that the Lord had given him that hour.

He knew it because it all had been Predetermined that's exactly why on the morning of that day He sent his men into the city to find a man who was carrying a pitcher of water Follow that man to his house once you get into the house ask the owner of the house if You the teacher has need of a of a room to celebrate the Passover and he will show you a large furnished room everything had been Predetermined so you say what makes that so significant because every day of your life is predetermined by the Lord God of Israel Nobody here does anything by accident I'm going to show you that in our text this morning Everything that you do is done by divine sovereign Appointment by the true and living God of the universe You need to grasp that because nothing happens by accident all by divine Appointment it was a night of predetermination We know that John tells us that having loved his own Completely he loved them to the end It was a night of affection because he would demonstrate his love to his men in a unique and special way it's also a night of Celebration because he says I have earnestly desired to eat this meal with you.

This was the night of huge celebration because it was the last celebration of the Passover the last official Celebration of the Passover and so he had eagerly desired to eat this Passover with his men on this Night and said I'm not gonna do it again until the kingdom comes once the kingdom comes. We're gonna all do it again together Because it was also a night of Transformation he would take the bread and the cup from the meal the Passover and Transformed them. He would take the bread of affliction and the cup of redemption He would take the bread of affliction as Deuteronomy tells us That's what the bread is called and said no longer.

Are you going to look back at your affliction in Egypt? Now you're going to look back at how I was afflicted for you I give you this bread which is representative of my body this do in Remembrance of me. You need to remember my affliction because my affliction gains you new life my affliction Rescues you from ultimate bondage the bread of affliction that you had all these years you celebrated because it Rescued you from your physical bondage my bread, which is my body will rescue you from your eternal Bondage that you might be set free to live for me.

It was a night of transformation They would take that third cup the only cup after the meal, which is the cup of redemption He would transform that and say this cup is the new covenant in my blood This has been given for you been poured out for you that you might understand the forgiveness of sins a night of predetermination a night of affection a night of Celebration a night of transformation, but the two things I want you to see today.

Is that it was a night of prediction and the night of dissension a night of prediction about a betrayal and a night of dissension among the beloved Okay Pick up the narrative Luke chapter 22. This is where we left off last week verse 21 But behold the hand of the one betraying me is with me on the table For indeed the son of man is going as it has been determined But woe to that man by whom he is betrayed it and they began to discuss among themselves Which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing?

And there arose also a dispute among them as to which one of them was regarded to be greatest And he said to them Kings of the Gentiles lord it over them and those who have authority over them are called benefactors But not so with you But let him who was the greatest among you become as the youngest and the leader as the servant For who is greater the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves? Is it not the one who reclines at the table? but I am among you as the one who serves and You are those who have stood by me in my triumphs and Just as my father has granted me a kingdom I grant you that you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel two things the prediction and the dissension will begin with the prediction about the betrayal They're all gathered together they're in the upper room They're all reclining at the table.

The Lord has gone through this celebration with his men It's been a long time the celebration goes on for hours. There's much discussion. There's much instruction that's given and they've been Celebrating the Lord's table. He transforms the bread. He transforms the cup Okay, and then he says these words he says Verse 22, that's verse 21, but behold Stand amazed You're gonna be shocked By what I'm about to tell you This is gonna go way beyond anything you could ever imagine but Behold the great but all of Jesus Scripture teach us much about the truth of Almighty God here They are this night of affection this night of celebration this night of predetermination this night of transformation Everything centered around what the Lord was going to do for his men and then he drops a bombshell But behold Behold he says The hand of the one betraying me is with me on The table Now you can imagine what must have been going through their minds They understood How the religious establishment was against him?

They understood that earlier this week He had talked to them in Matthew 23 and pronounced a curse upon the religious establishment. Whoa, do you whoa? Do you whoa do you he damned the religious establishment? That's what it means to say. Whoa Because of how they had rebelled against his truth so they knew That the religious establishment wanted him dead He's made that very clear. They have heard the rumblings. They know That they stand against him But what they did not know is that there would be one of them around that table Who would betray him That was beyond all comprehension They had never thought of that They'd never dreamed of anything of that nature And Christ says I'm going to give you the most shocking news of the evening Somebody at this table is going to betray me Now Judas we know is that man They did not know and Judas had been there.

Remember Judas is sitting to the left of Jesus So he has the place of honor at the table We already know that John 13 says that he loved his own completely until the end Expression is affection. Yes, even toward Judas He would be the one that once the Lord would dip the sop He would give it to the person of honor to his left, which would be Judas We know that Romans 2 4 says it's the goodness of God that leads man to repentance And if anybody was a partaker of the goodness of God, it would be Judas along with the other men as well But especially Judas once you understand the story But the hypocrisy of Judas Was so enormous and so great That when Jesus says this Nobody knows it's him Nobody Because he of all is the most trusted of the twelve because he was the one who held the money of the men He was the banker.

He was the most trusted one and yet Upon hearing this Judas is unmoved Judas is not affected in one bit That Jesus says somebody here is going to betray me because Judas believes that Jesus doesn't know That it's him Judas believes that he is tricked Jesus He's going to sell him for 30 pieces of silver and nobody knows this but Judas But one thing has escaped Judas's notice And that is Jesus is the sovereign God of the universe who knows everything But Judas does not think he does and so It says these words for indeed the Son of Man is going as it has been Determined Who determined it Judas no The religious leaders know Who Determined that the Son of Man.

Remember that's the title of the Lord God of the universe in Daniel chapter 7 verses 13 and 14 That the Son of Man It's been determined that he will be betrayed It is determined that he will die Who determined it? His father in heaven Acts chapter 2 verse number 22 men of Israel Listen to these words Jesus of Nazarene a man attested to you by God with miracles and wonders and signs Which God performed through him in your midst just as you yourselves know this man delivered up by the predetermined plan and for knowledge of God You nailed to a cross by the hands of godless men and put him to death Then over in Acts chapter 4 it says in verse 27 for truly in this city There were gathered together against the Holy Servant Jesus Whom thou didst anoint both Herod and Pontius Pilate along with the Gentiles and the peoples of Israel To do whatever thy hand and thy purpose Predetermined to occur Everybody involved in the crucifixion and the rejection and the betrayal of Jesus was all a part of the Predetermined plan and sovereignty of Almighty God It was all a work of the true and living God now Jesus says these words then But woe to that man By whom he is betrayed But woe to that man By whom he is betrayed Jesus says all things have been predetermined by my father but The man who does it is cursed The man who does it is damned the man who does it is fully responsible and Fully culpable say wait a minute.

How can that be? How can God be sovereign Control everything rule everything determine everything and yet Judas be responsible for his own actions It's that Apparent Paradox There are no paradoxes in heaven. There are no paradoxes in God's mind. There's only paradoxes in finite minds There's never a paradox in an infinite mind You see the age-old question about divine sovereignty and human responsibility divine election and human volition is Only a paradox in the mind of those who are finite not in the mind of a God who is infinite You need to understand this Because faith Faith believes in the Word of God But reason believes in human logic and Reason cannot understand faith Reason tries to understand everything But it cannot Faith Accepts that which reason rejects Faith accepts what reason rejects Faith acknowledges that I don't have all the information faith acknowledges.

I don't have to have information Faith acknowledges that God is sovereign and God rules because that's what God says Faith believes in what God has already said Faith truly accepts while reason rejects Reason rejects simply because They don't understand By faith the truth of God You see this is not a paradox with God Judas is fully responsible.

He is fully culpable for every decision that he makes and Judas is acting as if there is no God Judas is acting as if God doesn't even exist Judas is acting as if he somehow is able to pull the wool over God and do something without God ever knowing Judas acts as if there is no God listen Whenever you do something To try to fool God or try to think that God is not involved You act like a practical atheist You act as if there is no God the Judas does But there is a God he does rule. He is supreme.

He knows exactly what's gonna happen because Psalm 41 verse number 9 says these words prophetically says These words Psalm 41 verse number 9 even my close friend in whom I trusted Who ate my bread? Has lifted up his heel against me Prophecy fulfilled in the life of Judas and so we although we might not grasp Everything that's happening But because we walk by faith and not by sight Every believer does that right? So therefore by faith we accept what God says in his word Even though in my finite mind I might not be able to logically reason how it is a man could be fully responsible Even though it was prophesied it would happen.

I take it by faith because God said so God said so the bottom line is whether or not I will believe exactly what God says in his word and so Jesus tells them after this grave This great and grand celebration.

Listen, I'm gonna say something to you. That's gonna be shocking behold There is one of you at this table who's going to betray me he's gonna betray me and The Son of Man is gonna be delivered up as It has already been determined But woe to that man Cursed be that man that man will be damned Because of his treachery now What even goes beyond that? is the next verse and They began to discuss them among themselves Which one of them it might be who was going to do this thing They had no idea They had no idea of this betrayal Matthew's account reads it this way Matthew chapter 26 It says After the the Lord's table It says these words Now when he didn't come verse 20 He was reclined at the table with the twelve disciples and as they were eating He said truly I say to you that one of you will betray me and being deeply grieved They each one began to say to him surely not I Lord And the answer and said he who dipped his hand with me in the bowl is the one who will betray me now No, everybody dipped their hand in the bowl Doesn't know that But he says this The Son of Man is good is to go just as it is written of him But woe to that man by whom the Son of Man is betrayed It would have been good for that man if he had not been born Better not to be born and never to exist than to be born and be the betrayer the Messiah and be damned forever This is this and Judas who was betraying him answered and said surely It is not I Rabbi.

Now, what does he say that? Because he doesn't think that Jesus knows In fact, he's convinced that Jesus knows on top of that He has to say it because the other eleven said it If he's the only one who doesn't say it guess what how come Judas is not wondering whether that's him or not So so he's got to keep up the hypocrisy He's got to keep up the phony mask that he has had all these three years To do so he has to join in in the discussion and say well surely it is not I Rabbi the one to your left the one who has the seat of honor among the twelve that are here.

Surely it is not I Rabbi and he said to him you have said it yourself In John's account in John chapter 13, this is how it goes And when Jesus had said this he became troubled in spirit and testified said truly truly I say to you that one of you will betray me And the disciples began looking at one another and a loss to know of which one he was speaking. They had no idea They had no idea who it was. That's why they all said Is that I is it me? Who is it Lord who is it me they all asked the same question because no one knew Then it says There was reclining on Jesus breast one of his disciples whom Jesus loved Simon Peter therefore gesture to him and said to him tell us who it is of whom he is Speaking Tell us John Evidently Peter was next to John John was to the right of the Lord Judas was to the left of the Lord the place of honor and Peter says hey You're the disciple whom Jesus loves because that's how John always refers to himself in John's gospel.

He never calls himself John It's always the disciple whom Jesus loves and so Peter said hey, you're the one that Jesus loves you tell us ask him Who it is because they're all saying it was that I said I know that it's not is it me is you who is it? Jesus ask him So Excuse me Healing back thus on Jesus breast said to him Lord, who is it? Jesus therefore answered that is the one for whom I shall dip the morsel and give it to him So now at least John knows listen follows through with me, okay so when he had dipped the morsel he took and gave it to Judas the son of Simon Iscariot and After the morsel Satan then entered into him Jesus therefore said to him what you do do quickly Now listen, the other disciples have no idea John does because Jesus tells John and amidst all the discussion about is that I is that I is it who John tell John hears from the Lord It's not a public statement for everybody to hear but John here's how do you know the others didn't know read on Now no one of those reclining the table knew for what purpose he had said this to him.

Nobody knew For some were supposing because Judas had the money box that Jesus was saying to him by the things we have need of For the feast or else that he should give something to the poor. And so after Receiving the morsel he went out immediately and it was night They did not know and there's a reason they did not know there's a reason they did not hear There's a reason They were unable to grasp Judas Okay outside the fact that he was a supreme hypocrite outside the fact that he unlike anybody else was able to be so deceptive and What he did no one would know None of the other ten did John knew and maybe John was so shocked.

He could not respond Maybe he was so utterly amazed that it would be the most trusted of the twelve that he could not even speak But there was another reason there was another reason and You move from the British the prediction about the betrayal to the dissension among the beloved Look at the next verse in Luke's account It says and There arose also a dispute among them as to which one of them was regarded to be greatest This is embarrassing to say the least There's no one saying Oh Lord someone's going to betray you Lord, what can we do to help you?

What can we do to stand by you? What can you what can we do to show you our support our loyalty our love to you nobody's thinking that None of them are They're all thinking. Well, is it I is that and that rapidly? disintegrates to not only is that I but It can't be me It must be you. I Know it can't be me It's got to be you Because after all I have a special place in the heart and mind of God I Have a special place in the kingdom of God You see how quickly the discussion turns now You'll notice this in your conversation with people You'll talk to them and you'll tell them something and how quickly they turn the story to say Oh, yeah, but did you hear about what happened to me?

Did you hear about what I did? You know how they how they treated me You see in our discussion among people you'll notice that how often someone turns the conversation directly toward Them you ever notice that Because they're as narcissistic as the Apostles were They're self-absorbed Pride rules their life.

They can't stand the fact that you have a better story than they do They've got to interject their story because theirs is greater than yours. Theirs is more hurtful than yours It's really gonna turn the story around. They're gonna point everybody's eyes on them. And that's exactly what the twelve do It's not said I know It's that I know Can't be him And no, it's not me It must It must be Nathaniel Or Philip And Peter James and John said we know it's not us. We run the man of transfiguration We are up there and you guys weren't So we know it can't be you guys it must be us who's the greatest we can't be the betrayers because we were on the I know transfiguration we saw Moses We saw Elijah and you guys were down in the valley and you couldn't even cast out a demon you guys have got to be The least in the kingdom.

We have to be at least the greatest in the kingdom And Peter would say well, listen, we know he would say though all men deny you I will not We'll see that see that next week So he knows that His mind he's the greatest Because the others will deny that Peter won't He voiced that himself It's all of a sudden the discussion disintegrates into dissension among the twelve on The greatest night in human history in the night in which our Lord had looked forward to eating the meal with these men The night in which he would show supreme affection to his men give them the instruction they need that they need to Understand that will take them into the church age in this great night in which he wanted to be with his men there arose again for the fourth time in the history of these men an Argument about who was the greatest now this just happened right before they went to Jericho a week earlier If you read the account of Matthew it happened right before they went to Jericho after Jesus gave them the third Prediction about how he was going to die.

They began to think okay Well, you're gonna die, but we're greater than anybody else and we're the greatest and that dispute among rose among them right before they went to Jericho So in less than two weeks this discussion erupts again. Jesus is going to die going to the Passover He's predicted his death. They don't talk about that on the eve of the crucifixion They're still so self-absorbed They can't even begin to get their eyes off themselves They can't even begin to think of the Christ Because they can only think of themselves So When you ask how did the men not know when Jesus said to John?

When I dip the morsel That's when you're gonna know when I give it to that person that's the person They were so Self-absorbed in their own argument. They could not even pay attention to what the Lord was doing It's like some of you today. You're so self-absorbed of where you're at. You can't even pay attention to the sermon this morning You're thinking about how I look or what I'm gonna do at the lunch or all that You're so into what you're thinking you can't even begin to understand what God's saying to you today in the word We are very very much like the Apostles Our eyes are so focused on the inside We can even begin to think about what's going on the outside So what makes this night so Magnificent and so monumental not that it was a night of predetermination.

Although that's great Although it was a night of celebration and transformation a night of prediction a night of Dissension it also was a night of instruction and humiliation Because I want you to notice what the Lord does Because what he does is Absolutely incredible What we would do we would say you know what guys I'm out.

I'm getting another 12. You guys aren't cutting it. I'm done with you guys See ya, I'm out of here. I'm gonna find somebody else who has a little bit of loyalty a little bit of commitment a Little bit of concern for me That's not Jesus He's gonna give them a principle He's going to give them Not only a principle. He's gonna give them a picture And then he's going to give them a promise He's gonna give them a principle that is concerning their mentality and he's going to give them a picture that communicates his humility and then he's going to give them a promise a promise that is centered on their destiny and This is how he handles their dissension about who is the greatest Says verse 25 and he said to them that phrase is used seven times by our Lord It's a phrase of instruction.

That's why this night is a night of instruction Because when he says and he said to them he is going to instruct him as something very significant and so he's going to begin with a principle They all know that we know the kings of the little Gentiles Lord it over them and those who have authority over them are called benefactors But not so with you But let him who is the greatest among you become as the youngest and the leader as a servant For who is greater the one who reclines at the table or the one who serves?

Is it not the one who reclines at the table He gives them a principle that principle concerns the mentality how they think what they think about who they are We know that the Gentiles of this world. They like to Lord it over people. We know how the world is governed We know how the benefactors act as they look at everything flowing from them and everything is about them We know what the Pharaohs and the Caesars and the Kings and the rulers think about their lives We know that they think they're top dog But in my kingdom It's different We know That the greatest one is not the one who serves but the one who reclines at the table.

We all know that that's why The great ones recline and the servants serve we know that So he gives them a principle That is fixed on their mentality about the way things are Because he wants him to understand how things need to be that's why he says in the next verse but I Am among you as the one who serves but The but all of Jesus Scripture but we know that the great ones recline and The servants serve but I and the one who serves Now, this is the picture. He gives the principle now the picture because to understand the picture you have to go to John chapter 13 So to remain your Bible John 13 John chapter 13 verse 4 He rose from supper laid aside his garments taking a towel he girded himself about Now I could imagine this was going on when the dissension was at its apex When everything was heated about who was the greatest in the kingdom and somehow he was quickly and quietly get up gird himself with a slave's apron and While doing that he would begin to teach his men about service He poured the water into the basin and began to wash the disciples feet to wipe them with a towel With which he was girded So a keen assignment Peter.

He said to said to him Lord. Do you wash my feet? And Jesus answered said to him what I do you do not realize now, but you shall understand hereafter Please said to him never shall you wash my feet Jesus answered him if I do not wash your feet you have no part with me Sermon Peter said to him Lord not my feet only but also my hands and my head and Jesus said to him he was Bait, it's only to wash his feet But it's completely clean And you are clean, but not all of you For he knew the one who was you train him for this reason.

I said not all of you are clean And so we had washed their feet And taken his garments and we climbed to the table again. He said to them. Do you know what I have done to you? You call me teacher and Lord and you are right for so I am If I then the Lord and the teacher washed your feet You also ought to wash one another's feet for I gave you an example that you should also do as I did to you Truly truly I say to you as slave is not greater than his master Neither is the one who was sent greater than the one who sent him if you know these things you are blessed if you do them Now understand the picture the men are arguing about who's the greatest in the kingdom as they're arguing Jesus gets up he girds himself with the slaves apron and begins to wash the men's feet Because not only does he want to help them understand the principle concerning their mentality He wants to give them a picture of his humility Because they have yet to grasp that He was the one among them who serves he is Lord.

He is teacher. He is King. He is rabbi He is master, but he is one among them who serves he gave them a picture They would never forget because Peter would write about this in 1st Peter chapter 5 You younger likewise Humble yourself clothe yourself with humility Tie a slave's apron around yourself is what Peter says because Peter Had this picture in his mind when he wrote 1st Peter chapter 5 Now this is where it gets really really good And really really convicting Because the question comes well, so what do we do go around washing everybody's feet?

Oh, no No, that's not it at all If you think that that's the conclusion of this you are so sadly mistaken It has nothing to do with washing somebody else's feet Slaves did do that in those days Because they wore sandals the roads were dusty and slaves would wash those who reclined to the table They'd wash their feet and that's what Jesus did to emphasize his humility in his service But that's not the lesson Are you ready? This is gonna be so enormous It's gonna blow your mind Here it goes Jesus is saying if you do this Blessed are you if you follow my teaching I?

Don't think there's anybody in the room today that doesn't want to be blessed by God Everybody wants the blessing of God upon their life. How do you obtain the blessing of God upon your life? Do you quickly go out and begin to wash everybody's feet? Is that the answer? Everybody come up here. We'll line you up and wash everybody's feet now.

I'm blessed by God. That's not the answer What's the answer He said if you do what I have done, I've given you an example If you do these things you are blessed What's the blessing here it is There's two parts to it. Number one is this in the midst of your greatest adversity No matter how severe it might be The one thing you cannot do is focus on you No matter how severe your pain No matter how great your rejection No matter how bad you feel about yourself.

You are never to focus on you But you are always to focus on someone else Because that will immediately put you in service mode get your eyes off of you because remember in the discussion their eyes were aware Me me me me me me me me me It was all on them But who was the greatest? And so Christ is in the midst your adversity. You must live in the realm of Humility How do you do that get your eyes off of you? No matter how deep your pain and don't think for one moment That the anguish in the life of our Lord was minimal It was deeper Than all of us put together It was great Because he knew what was happening He knew about the rejection But never once did he focused on himself He focused on his men the men who were arguing about who was the greatest in the kingdom You see the problem with us is that we are so narcissistic That we can't even begin to get our eyes off of ourself when we're in pain we have to have somebody call us write us console us love us and Jesus says just the opposite Just the opposite he says When you do what I have done for you your eyes will be off of you and you will be in humility mode and That's when ministry is at its apex That's part one.

Here's part two Jesus would go on to say in John 13 34 and 35 a New commandment I Give unto you That you love one another as I have loved you Now get this you ready What does that mean That means Because he goes and say by this all men will know That you are my disciples if you have loved one to another What does he mean I'm gonna tell you what he means Everybody's gonna know That you're one of mine When you are in the midst of your greatest pain, and you do not want others to look at you Because then you will minister to them and that's what love is all about and that's how everybody will know you are mine because that's what I do and The reason the world doesn't know the love of Christ is because we love ourselves so much We can't get our eyes off of our own pain and that's embarrassing That's disgusting Because Jesus gave us the example Folks we got to get this this is what it's about and if you've been offended by that good You need to be offended by that Because that means you're so wrapped up in yourself.

You can't get your eyes off of yourself How dare you say that in the midst of my pain? I should not want people to love me and care for me and call me and write me and hug me Yeah, I said it Because that's exactly what Jesus did And all of a sudden when you do that Everybody knows you're one of his because that's what he did That's what it means in John 13 34 35 a new commandment that I given to you that you love one another Not as you love yourself, but as I have loved you That's the commandment now all of them will know you are mine because your eyes are off of you And they're on to people you can serve and love and minister to that's how everybody's gonna know you're mine The question comes How many people know that were the disciples of Christ Because we refuse to look inwardly and constantly look outwardly That's the message that's the picture He tells him I'm gonna give you a principle.

It's concerning your mentality. I know what you're thinking Everybody thinks the same way who's the greatest the one who was the benefactor the one who was a Caesar the one who's a ruler The leader the one to be climbed to the table, but I am one among you who serves and I'm your teacher I'm God And I'm one among you serves So it gives them a picture You drive that home with your family Drive it home to your marriage Next time you as a wife Feel not loved By your husband And ask yourself Will all men know that I'm the disciple of Christ Because I'm not gonna look inwardly But look to serve my husband and my family Or about you as a father Who doesn't get quote the respect that you think you need and you feel rejected because you don't have that respect How about saying you know what I Need to get my eyes off of me and get into service mode and Reach out to those who are closest to me in love and affection That they might know that I truly am a child of the Living God That's the picture That's what Christ is driving home with his men See that's all better than saying you fools, you know and berating them and saying you guys I'm done with you guys You guys never get the lesson.

No, he drives it home in a powerful way And then on top of all that it gives them a promise a Promise about their destiny He says because they're arguing who's the grace in the kingdom. And this is what Jesus says to his men he says And you are those who have stood by me in my trials and Just as my father has granted me a kingdom I grant you That you may eat and drink at my table in my kingdom and you will sit on thrones judging the twelve tribes of Israel I got good news There's gonna be a kingdom and one day you'll be in charge But not yet Not yet, it's coming Here's my promise.

I Promise is all about your destiny You see those of us who so desperately want to be in charge who desperately want to be in control who desperately wanted to be Applauded and looked at as somebody who's great. Listen the day will come Humble yourself in the sight of the Lord and he will exalt you in due time There'll be a time which you will be exalted in the kingdom of Almighty God That's we still as men right now Humble yourself right now live as I have lived in one day You will sit on thrones and you will rule in the kingdom this night is the most Significant night in human history Because Jesus says I have desired this so very much Not is it only the most significant night in human history It is the most shocking night in human history because now he reveals to them that someone's going to betray him and nobody knew it Nobody could guess it.

Nobody could understand it. He shocks them The most significant night is the most shocking night the most shocking night is the most Sorrowful night in human history It's sorrowful simply because of how people are consumed with themselves But it is The most sovereign night in human history. They're all sovereign But it just goes into great detail and how the Lord was in control of every conversation every rejection Every instruction every affection everything that happens tonight. He's a complete control of Because he's God Folks we need to get this lesson and understand it because it will revolutionize Your marriage your family and if it does he will revolutionize your church For the glory of Christ, let's pray Father we thank you for today.

Truly. You are a great God and you alone are worthy of praise We thank you for our time together in your word so many lessons so much instruction Such a powerful passage. I Pray that we get it Lord. I pray for husbands That we'd get it We most surely need to get it Pray for our wives our mothers our fathers our children That all of us would get the impact of this night How once grasped? Changes the way we live That we might affect everybody around us for truly as you said All men will know that you are my disciples Simply because you love as I have loved you Sacrificially Sacrificially and volitionally to the benefit of others and not to the benefit of me Pray this in Jesus name
